The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Hestra Matsuoka Vietnam glove manufacturing plant in Hai Phong was held on March 22, 2024, at the Japan-Hai Phong Industrial Park, An Duong district, Hai Phong city.
The project is owned by the Swedish original investor Martin Magnusson & Co Aktiebolag, specialized in designing and manufacturing gloves since 1936. Recognizing the ideal conditions in Northern Vietnam for producing high-quality gloves, this family-owned Swedish business was attracted to establish one of the world’s most modern glove manufacturing plants here, leveraging the skilled workforce and artisanal culture of Vietnam.
The Hestra Matsuoka Vietnam Project, with a total investment of 13 million USD and a total floor area of nearly 11,500 m2 in Plot E-3a, Japan-Hai Phong Industrial Park – Tan Tien Commune – An Duong District – Hai Phong, marks the second project of the investor following the inauguration of the first plant, also in Hai Phong, in 2018.
